Apprehensions fade away as time passes by

It's strange how we've all fit into the environment around us (namely the Ateneo). It's been more than a month since I last updated this site, and more than 3 months since either one of you (yes Cha and Sheree), has come to update this site.

In a way, we all eventually went to the same school, and see each other often. I see Chaley on my way to some classes, or at lunch and at other times as well. Sheree on the other hand is a familiar figure every Tuesday and Thursday as we have our only class together at PE 106 R (Women's Table Tennis). But despite how much we all see each other, nothing can truly replace the familiarity of high school. We don't get to see each other at every class, or we don't get to go out whenever we want to....yes, college is truly different from ICA.

Can you imagine how fast time has flown? We've been students at the Ateneo for a month and a half, and the campus for me has the familiarity and sense of security that ICA bound me in for 13 years. 13 years when compared to a month and a half, is a lot to talk about.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm loving college. There are a lot of new oppurtunities that I've already been opened to. I've met a lot of new people, learned a lot of new things, and experienced a lot of wonderful memories. Though I can't truly say that I don't have any college jitters of any sort, the panic-y feeling that I felt on the first day of OrSem has long gone. Now, I'm not afraid to try new things. I've become a more open and extroverted person, and I've gotten along with a lot of my male classmates too. Instead of supposedly feeling insecure about being in a co-ed classroom and having boys as classmates or org mates (and people you see 24/7 on campus), they've become a normal part of my college days.

In class, I'm always one of the more talkative people, always trying to recite, or trying toget the teachers attention for the lecture. I'm always direct, and stating my opinions, instead of the usual "keep it to myself" situation. I can even say that my classes won't be the same without me....that's how much I act insanely whenever I'm in my classes.

I just hope that you guys are having as much fun in college as me. Good Luck with your classes, and orgs as well as with the lam-e on campus. :)

Truly Yours,
Christa
