It has arrived!

This is my Sunday LJ post that I'm re-posting here...

I'm so darn happy. I finally got my graduation gift yesterday. After a month of waiting, since grad was on march 25, I finally got it. It arrived yesterday. My uncle went to HongKong with my cousin and aunt, and they came back home yesterday. My cousin was the one who came by my house, and to think that they had just come home from the airport. :) Fast delivery.

Ahia Franz said that it's not yet out here in the Philippines so I'm quite lucky. A white Presario b2800, notebook PC. It's so amazingly white and I spent about 2 hours reading the entire manual on cd. I also activated the bluetooth so I'm quite happy. It loads quite fast, but I'm figuring that it's like that since I haven't uploaded any big programs yet.

I can't seem to make it connect to our DSL Broadband. My mum said that my cousin who works with computers, made it so that the DSL won't work for wireless laptops. He still has to configure the laptop and our DSL so that I can go Wi-FI. :D

Okay, so there's like a cough and cold symphony at my house. Even I'm in the symphony, continously coughing and sneezing my heart out. It will go away soon...I hope.. I have a hard time sleeping cuz of it.

At least I can do more useful things now that I have a laptop. I have been re-editing my fanfiction stories so that they sound better and have a better storyline since I really suck at making stories. I've also been beginning a new one. And I think I can start my novel soon, or at least have the stamina to research on what I want to write.

The Lenten Holiday

I've spent the last 3 days, going to mass. It's been quite boring here actually. Cha and Sheree, you guys are so lucky that you aren't here in the Philippines to experience the humidity and nothingness of this week. I could practically die at this moment. The only things I've been doing is watching my anime for the day, spending the rest of the day lounging about and being a sloth, plus updating my deviantart with poems. So much for writing down the ideas of the book I'm planning to write. I'm wasting myself away by doing nothing relevant. If only I could go out shopping, but then my parents would kill me when I tell them how much I would have spent.

I'm waiting for my laptop tp appear in my hands, when I get it sometime this week or next week. My uncle is buying it in Hong Kong, together with my cousin and aunt. I think my cousin has a pretty good idea what I want, or would want as specs for the laptop. As long as it's windows, cuz I want to download some Sims' games into it.

I could just imagine my mom once I get it. She'll nag me to download every imaginable firewall, or virus scanning program there is, just to spite me. I wouldn't be able to completely own it till she finds a way of using up all the memory with her paranoid-programs. :) I can't imagine my life would get any worse though. I talked to my dad about my learning how to drive, and he had the nerve to tell me that people tell him, that after-college is the best time to learn how to drive. OMG! I told him that I would die if that ever happened. I retold him how people have been learning how to drive since 3rd year, and that he already promised me so. That means that I get to learn.

Can I join one of you then? My dad is asking if one of you are learning how to drive soon, maybe I could tag along. ^_^

still in Toronto

Canada's waaay more fun than I expected.

we went to Niagara falls this morning, which was about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the city center. After I saw the ultimately clean wild waters, I had this crazy urge to jump in and go over the falls. I was sooo crazed that I went over the railing and went near the roaring waters before somebody yelled at me to get back up. I did, eventually.

My sister and I wanted to have a picnic by the waterfalls, (they had this patch of grass-over the rails- really really near the falls- but if you're clumsy enough, you might drop to your death) but by then, we already had brunch by the watchtower or whatever you call it. So we just settled with sitting on the grassland.

Going to Montreal tomorrow, have no idea what I'm going to see there and then to Ontario and finally to Quebec- the birthplace of the MIC people(- how fun...) and then NY, Washington, San Fransisco and finally Minnesota (did I get the spelling right?) I just hope that I wont be branded as a terrorist on North america. You know how paranoid these people are.

So, Crayzta, Cha-cha, wanna travel with a psychotic penguin? I heard that the Northern Lights in Alaska are amazing. At least in Alaska you can be as crazy as you want. The only living thing that's gonna see you are penguins, polar bears and seals anyway- or perhaps the occassional Eskimo, though I doubt that they are going to greet us with bear hugs or anything. :)
